The video piece documents a chain of actions which constructs and deconstructs continuously a form/sculpture; from which the spectator receives just traces of its existence. I decided to document a never-ending list of verbs/actions, while manipulating my own universe of materials and objects. During 1 min. 52 seconds, exhibited in loop (without beginning and end), the video reflects about materiality, the combination of different materials, time, and the action as a motor of change. Precisely, it is about the moment of transition between cause and effect, in an endless state.



El video documenta una cadena de acciones que construyen y deconstruyen constantemente una escultura/forma, de la cual el espectador sólo recibe indicios de su existencia. Decidí documentar una lista interminable de verbos/acciones, manipulando mi propio universo de materiales y cosas. Durante 1 min. 52 seg. y exhibido en loop (sin principio y sin final) el video reflexiona acerca de la materialidad, la combinación de diferentes materiales, el tiempo y el accionar como motor del cambio. Precisamente, se trata del momento de transición entre causa y efecto, en estado infinito.




The project KM 53 consists in the transport of a highway billboard situated in a rural area of the Province of Buenos Aires to the City of Buenos Aires. The billboard was partly damaged by winds and storms. Its structure in plain collapse still resists, freezing the time exactly in the moment in-between the fall and the resistance. The object was already dismantled by the artist and will be installed, in the same way it was founded, in a new context still to be found. The project is being funded by Bienal Arte Joven Buenos Aires 2013. The project is still ongoing.


El proyecto consiste en el traslado de un cartel publicitario ubicado en el km 53 de la Ruta N2 Provincia de Buenos Aires a Capital Federal. El carte se encuentra parcialmente deformado debido a intensos vientos y tormentas. Su estructura en pleno colapso resiste. Propone una imágen que existe entre la derrota y la resistencia. El objeto fue desarmado y será instalado en un nuevo lugar en la ciudad de Buenos Aires. El proyecto cuenta con el apoyo de Bienal Arte Joven Buenos Aires 2013.






A cascade of images and feelings produced by our mind both conscious and unconscious is activated every time we see, perceive and remember, among other mental activities. The video piece portraits the mechanical functioning of our lateral thinking or simultaneous thinking while perceiving the world. For this work I mixed images I took while being artist in residency at Civitella Ranieri, in Umbertide / Italy, with fragments of videos produced at my studio. These fragments show several arrangements of objects, parts of previous works, journal and magazine's images, and certain selected objects both from common and personal belonging. What we see is atemporal but rhythmically assembled in a search of chaos and order. Different spaces and fragments of time, images that appear in relation to certain actions are linked to create new meanings based in "free associative connections".


Una cascada de imágenes y emociones, conscientes e inconscientes, producidas en el cerebro, son activadas cada vez que vemos, percibimos, recordamos, entre tantas otras actividades mentales. El video retrata el funcionamientos mecánico del pensamiento lateral o pensamiento simultáneo mientras percibimos. Para este trabajo mezclé imágenes tomadas durante mi residencia en Civitella Ranieri (Italia) con fragmentos de escenas que filmé en mi taller en Buenos Aires. En estos fragmentos muestro diversas composiciones o escenas construidas de manera aditiva con objetos, materiales, partes de trabajos anteriores, imágenes de diarios, revistas relacionadas a la construcción y la decoración, entre otras cosas. El video es atemporal en su  contenido pero editado rítmicamente en la búsqueda de un orden o de un caos. Las imágenes aparecen en el video en relación a ciertas acciones, creando nuevos sentidos, a través del método de asociación libre.

The work Random Machine is a floor installation based in a rectangular platform of ceramics where different objects, photographs, interior design old images, images related to prehistory, materials, self-made objects, parts of previous works and the video work "Evolutions, Adds, Commas of the Random Machine" (2014) running looped on an iMac, are assembled in an intuitive manner or with the aim of establishing connections. Using the method of a scientific laboratory or a collection's archive, the different fragments of time and spaces propose a tension between the desire to organize - to find meaning - and the desire to recreate confusion and chaos.


Máquina Aleatoria es una instalación de piso, en la cual sobre un plano rectangular construido con azulejos. diferentes objetos, fotografías, recortes de revistas de decoración, imágenes relacionadas a la prehistoria, materiales, partes de trabajos anteriores, y el video "Evoluciones, Adds, Comas de la Máquina Aleatoria" proyectado en loop en una iMac, componen una escena de manera intuitiva o con la intención de establecer conexiones. Utilizando el método de un laboratorio científico o un archivo de colección, los diferentes fragmentos de tiempo y espacios proponen una tensión entre el deseo de organizar - encontrar significados - y el deseo de recrear confusión y caos.

Buscadores is a series of live-portraits conducted at the University Torcuato Di Tella in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I decided to build up a basic filming studio for screen tests and interviews of people working at the Institution. Professors, directors, students, coordinators, security personal and ex- students of the university are asked about dreams, existential, personal, philosophical, social, economical, ideological, political and professional matters regarding their everyday life. The work is a video-laboratory that experiments with the idea of portrait, as bridge between interview, popular media, psychology and art. A pallet of elements and effects are used randomly and intuitively on the models while they are speaking, meant to transform and alienate the speech from the image. The video Installation with all simultaneous portraits shaping the space becomes a collective portrait of the place and the moment.
